All these stray canines wanted was a home of their own, and they were inseparable.

Gus and Laurie, a couple of German Shepherds, were in this scenario. Just each other existed in the world for these two dogs, and their bond was quite deep.
Laurie and Gus have been partners for their entire lives. These are everything they have ever known and experienced.
Their rescue's specific circumstances are still a mystery.
The two were found together in a stranger's barn when they were three months old. The German Shepherd couple was adopted by Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue in Stephens City, Virginia, when they were just 7 months old.
"They have spent their entire lives only knowing one another. They have resided in someone's barn since being discovered as strays when they were three months old, according to a Facebook post from Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue. "We're hoping to find someone to keep these two together; they're about 7 months old now. If you're seeking for a linked pair, look no further.
The internet was interested in the two dogs after the rescue released pictures of them. Around 16,000 Facebook users shared the images, which rapidly went viral.
Dogs are gregarious creatures who like to hang out with their pack. Some dogs consider their group to be their human family. Others form a pack with a canine companion.
This was the situation with two German Shepherds named Gus and Laurie. These two dogs had no other companions in the world save one another, and their bond was particularly deep.

Because of their online fame, many individuals wanted to adopt them.
"This post has received an incredibly positive response. Please submit an adoption application at shenandoahrescue.org/adoption-process if you're interested in Gus and Laurie. Another Facebook post said, "These pups have arrived at their foster home in Virginia and are awaiting cat and kid testing."
Also, the shelter requested that the dogs be adopted in pairs.
"This couple has drawn a lot of email queries, I see! I'll make an effort to address them here. Each adoption is $325 in price. They must be adopted together, Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue said on Facebook Friday. We know very little about them at this time because they just arrived at their foster home in Northern Virginia today. They require socialization but are not antagonistic.
Gus and Laurie may be a cross between German Shepherds or may be pure German Shepherds. In response to the dogs' internet stardom, Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue had the following to say:
