The Atlanta Humane Society's Christina Hill said that Boss was adopted when a family came to the shelter, met him, and "fell in love."
When Boss was nine years old, his family left him behind because they could no longer take care of him.
He was abandoned at the Atlanta Humane Society earlier this year (AHS). Once his orphanage closed, 281 days later, he is still looking for a family.
The days are becoming shorter and the temperature is decreasing. Boss could or might not remember what it was like to spend the holidays cuddling up with a family, but something about the way he behaves makes it seem like he does know what a lovely season winter can be in a forever home.
Boss, a Staffordshire spaniel mix, spent some time in a foster home where he could display his gentleness.
Boss would probably do best in a home without other pets, according to Christina Hill, director of marketing and communications at AHS, because "he enjoys belly rubs and running around in the yards outside."
According to Lareau, he still has many years of love and delight to give despite his advanced age.
