Every dog in a shelter hopes to find their very own forever home, but despite shelters' best efforts, adoption isn't always simple. Some animals spend a very long time looking for the ideal home, and occasionally adoption attempts are fruitless.
The story of Ronald, a dog that had a particularly bad "unlucky streak" after 14 failed adoption efforts, was shared last week. Still, he persisted. finally finds a home for this lovely puppy!
On January 11, the SPCA of Wake County published Ronald's story. Despite only weighing 63 pounds, Ronald is a "giant lad" with a large build who may have been "too big/strong" for certain families, especially those with young children. They believe Ronald's frequent unsuccessful attempts to find a home were caused by his huge size.
Also, they called Ronald a "huge puppy" who, when excited or acting "a little mouthy," would stand up on his paws and place them on you.
Ronald may have been a little "too much" for some families, but the SPCA was sure that there was someone out there for whom he would make the ideal friend.
"Ronald is exceedingly nice, understands his directions, and accepts compliments gratefully. He's an exceptionally good boy, according to the SPCA. He enjoys getting goodies and showing off his abilities, so he will learn quickly and well from any teaching.
Thankfully, Ronald's luck changed overnight. Once his tale went viral and lots of people expressed interest in adopting him, the shelter was "maxed out" on adoption requests.
His poor luck will soon come to an end, SPCA spokesman Samantha Ranlet said WRAL. We are totally overburdened.
The SPCA just revealed that "Ronald's bad luck streak has officially ended," which is a startling revelation.
According to his new home, he gets along well with the kids and they are utterly smitten with him, the SPCA said. They informed them of Ronald's smooth integration and displayed his new family photos to them.
Ronald appears to have had success with adoption after 14 unsuccessful tries. The wonderful news and the overwhelming outpouring of support for Ronald thrilled the SPCA.
They stated in a Facebook post: "I appreciate you all sharing Ronald's story so much. Your heartfelt letters of encouragement and kind offers to assist him left us speechless." Ronald was able to get in touch with close to a million people on the first day because of the widely dispersed nature of your shares. His entire environment abruptly and drastically changed. How much power you all have at your keyboards to alter someone's life never ceases to astound us!
Ronald has finally found his "permanent home," and we are so happy that his string of misfortune is finished. Tell everyone about this wonderful news!
